I bought my wife a brand new 2003 Accord EX-V6 back in November of that year, and yesterday afternoon when she went to leave the sunlight caught the hood just right and I noticed that the paint on the nose of the hood is already starting to crackle. This is EXTREMELY disappointing for a car that's not even 4 years old yet. We just paid the thing off too.

I have been meticulous in my care of the paint on her car and have kept it waxed. The question that pops up into my mind is whether or not Honda would cover this, either partially, or wholly, under warranty. In contrast, the paint on the '96 Camry I sold back in '03 still looked immaculate with the exception of a few scratches and dings that were inflicted upon it during the time I was in college. Any ideas guys/gals?

Have you spoken to your dealer? If you have a good relationship with your dealer, I would call up the service manager and ask about it.

If not, I would call a random dealer and ask, then go from there.
