New member in the house

I just bought a 91 accord ex 4 door from my grandfather -- the car is excellent and Im starting to put some work into it right away because the color is light brown and has some rust spots as well.

I want to repaint my accord from brown to dark blue - like the royal dark blue in the 2007 accord. What do you guys think? I basically want to have a dark color on the gar then go for dark tinting and black rims. So any ideas on the color ?

 

I'm not a fan of black and blue, but some nice silver wheels would look good. What shop is doing the work? Are you prepping it and getting rid of the rust?

Definately getting rid of all the rust -- and the repaint is too make it look a lot newer and cleaner so I can start slapping some rims and stuff on it The shop belongs to a friend of my dad's --- he said he`ll do the whole car and fix the rust for 1100.

Definately feeling the blue....just hope the shine comes out the same as in the pictures...lol

 

I think it's just the lighting combined with fresh wax and trees to give it a lot of odd reflections.

 

hey i dont mean to thread jack but is the dark blue the only blue available for the 03-07 accord.

i ask because i saw a 06 or 07v6 coupe on the highway a month or so ago in a bright blue. sort of like this one.'

Im pretty sure the accord came with a lighter blue but not as light as that...I think its blue metallic.

 

Someone was telling me that you can buff up the paint and get the shine out that way...what do ppl mean by buffing it up...are we just talking regular polish here or something else?
