how about MB quartz? anyone have any opinions on that brand? i've read they are top quality for a good price! but before i get some, i want to hear from you gurus =)

MB Quart used to be top notch, but ever since someone bought them out the quality has really gone down. I don't remember who it was but I believe it was RF. Their top of line equipment is still good, but their low and mid range stuff isn't what it used to be. I have a pair of MB quart marine 6x9s in my boat, the highs are good, but I have them crossed pretty high because they distort pretty bad with bass. But they were only $160.

Focal & CDW. I think I'm going to get some CDW's for the Scion. I had MB Quartz component 6.5's in the accord. I loved them.

Often overlooked is a quality amp. A high quality amp will make cheaper speakers sound good. The opposite is not true. I was running a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 75Wx4 RMS 4 Ohm.
