Default stock headlight housing

how difficult is it to remove the clear plastic cover on the headlight housing in order to paint the rest of it? i want to paint it glossy black, but it looks as though the clear plastic is glued and sealed on there pretty well. any help would be appreciated.

You bake the headlights to loosen up the adhesive.

or you could use a heat gun, which is better overall for the headlight. ive heard of yellowing of the lens from using ovens from people who have used them.
