Question Swapping Worn Seats on a 2004 EX-L - What needs to be done

2004 accord EX-L with the side impact airbags built into the seats.
So I'm looking to see if I can get clarification on what needs to be done when swapping leather seats as I can only seem to find threads on swapping different seats with different wiring, or cloth to leather seats from different years, etc.

My leather was damaged on my passenger seat (manual adjustment), so I was going to swap it out with a matching seat from an 05. The 05 donor seat has what appears to be the same ODS system with the box mounted under the seat and sensors on both sides of the seat track. Everything appears to be the same. So can I just swap the seats and plugin everything and be OK? Or will I still have to get the ODS system re-calibrated at a dealer?

Alternatively, do I need to take the ODS box mounted under my original seat and just swap it to the donor seat to be OK? Or again will I need to go to a honda dealer to have it re-calibrated? I can't seem to find a clear answer on this.

I was considering just swapping out the cover for seat bottom to potentially avoid dealing the calibration since that's the only part with damage on mine, but that appears to be quite a pain. I took apart one at a junk yard as an experiment and it was more involved than I wanted to mess with.

Not wanting to chance the ODS system/sensor calibration issues and a potential uncooperative dealer, I went ahead and just swapped the seat bottom.

Once you removed the seat from the car (undo battery for 3 min first for airbag), it's a matter of removing the trim on the seat, unbolt the 4 holts that hold that hold the upper/lower together, unclip and fish out the wires from upper to lower portion, then the lower seat cover and cushion is held in with 2 tension springs and a number of white plastic clips around the perimeter of the seat cover and frame. I was able to get these off by prying them to the front/side with a pair of 45 degree angled needle nose plyers. After the clips are removed the seat cover assembly just lifts off.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. Undoing the electrical clips/connectors and removing/installing the outer seat trim around the reclining handle were the hardest parts. I probably spent more time on this stuff than the whole rest of the process, especially the outer seat trim. Couldn't figure out how to remove the seat reclining handle. It probably took 2-3 hours working through the various snags I ran into. Hope this helps someone.
