Like make it so the signal has to go through a switch? I think that would cause some conflicts with the ECU switching over fuel maps and the cams not moving when they're supposed to...

I'm no expert on Vtec or Hondas in that matter. But I know I did a D16Z6 (95 civic sohc vtec)swap in my 89 CRX (non-Vtec) I used the CRX ecu and just wired the Vtec to a RPM activated switch and set the RPM at 3500 and when I reached that RPM the Vtec kick in. I don't know how that would work with a car that already has a Vtec in it. I was just putting the idea out there.

..... or buy a VTEC controller. VAFC2 for sale here!!! Dyno tuned to my old car.
