I installed a sony deck in my 06 accord and i bought the kit that puts the new stereo in the cubby down below the stock stereo, kit came with a wiring harness that just plugs into the stock radio wiring and allows the display for the stock stereo to stay on and still see the ac and heater controls.

Only problem is i can't figure out how to get any fm or am signal. everything else works great. sound is great when i hook up my ipod and i hooked up all the wires to their appropriate colors.

Would really appreciate any help.

Did you reconnect the antenna to the radio? Had to ask.

Otherwise, bad radio seems possible.

Yes i hooked up the blue wire that is for the antenna, that is what you are talking about right?

 

no the blue wire is a different type of antena. it should be a black coaxil like wire that plugs into the back of the head unit.

where is that wire? is it hooked to the stock stereo and you just unplug it and plug it into the new stereo?? I'm having trouble finding it
