Default 09 Accord EX-L Nav question

Just wanted to say great deal of information off this site thanks!!

1. I've had my 2009 Honda Accord EX-L for about 2 weeks now and just got my Navigation disc not to long ago. Is the stock navigation system really this horrible or am I doing something wrong?? I live in Houston, TX and the past couple of days I've been trying to input directions for places I want to go and according to the system it says the streets do not exist(now mind you some of these are well established streets thave been around for a while) either (A) I'm doing something wrong or (B) this system is a straight fail. For some reason it won't even let me put in the number portion of the address!

2. If the system is this much of a fail is there a hack or something I can do that will let me upload a whole new system to it and run???

Any help that could be provided would be awesome. I would hate to have to keep reverting back to my phone and using the GPS off that trying to do somewhat of the safety thing.

Sadly, I have yet to hear anything good about Honda navigation or any disc based navigation system. Bummer, eh? Great car, crappy nav. Honda is not alone in this, many factory nav systems are straight fail.

Separate GPS is usually the best bet. A shop can mold it into the dash.

As to your method of inputting addresses, refer to the manual.
