Default 2004-EX, Nav unit stolen-audio/iphone solutions

Hi, am new to this forum. Just spent 4 days scouring the web and talking with pro installers about my desire for an iphone integration unit. The trouble is the Nav/brain unit (trunk) was stolen before I bought the car. So many of the integration vendors USA-SPEC, PIE are concerned that because the nav screen is non functioning. Their products will not work successfully (no text on screen) without this so it seems.

So it appears the nav "brain" has to be there for these integration units to work.

Second option is a new deck, but that option has failed me too, it can only go in the cubby (single din only) at bottom of nav/radio/climate control stack, but then I would loose the dual passenger climate controls, wife will not go there.

This brings me back to my question, what about a replacement for the "nav/brain" (OEM or Aftermarket) unit to go in the trunk. I would need bluetooth stereo so I can stream music from the iphone 3gs or even a standard hardwire ipod cable to the dash? With this, maybe the phone controls on the steering wheel might work with the OEM mic above the rear view mirror. IOW, the car has many of the toots and wistles already, what about a new brain? Guys? Budget would need to be less than $600. OEM Honda pricing is $1200 and up.

Also, I do not plan to use the built-in OEM (Honda) NAV, I will use turn by turn off the iphone. So it does NOT need nav, just a stereo (again with bluetooth) compatible with the 2004 Honda Accord EX sedan in-trunk mount and harnesses. Pics attached, BTW cable harness shot is in the trunk.

My brain... not the stolen one, hurts. Thanks for any help.
