Default 2007 Accord stereo backlight doesn't work

The stereo on my 2007 Accord works fine, but the backlight stopped working. The lights on the a/c and heater just below it work fine. The dashlights work fine, its just the stereo backlight. In the daylight, everything is normal, its just when it gets dark out that I can't see the stereo numbers (ie 105.7, etc). I tried adjusting the dash lights, but that made no difference.

I read about a similar problem with the 2003 Accords, and a service bulletin, but nothing on a 2007 Accord.

I installed a Parrot bluetooth device about 4 months ago, but everything worked fine til about a week ago.

Thanks for any ideas.

2007 Honda Accord VP, stock single cd stereo, 108k miles.

That is internal to the head unit. Unless factory wiring has been compromised. You can check fuses but i don't expect the solution to be that simple.
