Default 2008 Cd: "mech error"

Hi, my 2008 Honda EX CD changer reports "MECH ERROR" on CD operation. I think I ejected all CD's from it. I haven't had luck loading any again. Any advice or way to reset it ? Thanks in advance.

Me, I don't know anything about audio systems - I just turn the **** to make it louder.

So I've moved this to the audio section where I think you might get better help.

From what I've read you can try to unhook the negative terminal from battery for about 30 minutes. But mostly the changer is toast. Poor shock absorbing internals. If your sure you have all your cds out, you might consider buying a new one.

disconnecting the battery will reset the radio and it will try again. sometimes it's physically jammed and requires disassembly.
