Hello guys, and gals. I'm in need of some advice/knowledge. I have a 2001 Accord Dx nothing fancy good a to b car. Anyway I want to know if I could hookup a 300 watt amplifier to it without having to change the alternator? I'd like to keep the factory stereo cause it's not bad single cd player with cassette player. I just want to put my old cheap amp and 10 in it thanks.

best to ask this in a new thread, but to answer your question, yes. the alternator is fine.

you will need a LOC (line output converter) off the rear speakers, and you can get a remote turn-on from the factory head unit if you add a wire to one of the empty slots in the harness. i'll have to look at mine to verify what pin it is.
