Default amplifier 00accord

i have alpine speakers in my car and they sound great, however you just dont feel the bass as much as i had hoped, (or as much as you do with stock speakers in some newer cars for that matter) i was wondering what i needed to do to feel the bass, i know a sub would help, but i dont really want to get a sub, will an ampl put the power into my speakers that i need in order to feel the bass shaking?

If you have good speakers you will. I get a whole lot more bass from my JL VR 6x9s with a Kicker zx250.2 amp then stock. There really isn't much of a comparison, but it is still not like a sub.

Youre not going to get good bass from anything other than a sub - ever.

I suppose if you were to use to high quality 6x9's (assuming they exist), put them in a proper sealed box and fed them 200 watts each that youd get some punch but you still wouldnt be able to get any response below about 50 Hz from them.

Trying to get subbass from 6.5 or smaller speakers is like trying to tow a 10,000 boat trailer with a 4 cylinder. They just aint made for it.

If you dont want a sub, go with a bigger amp with as much power as you can afford. This will help but you still wont get sub bass.

actually, a 4ch amp on a good set of speakers does sound pretty good, but it does not compare to a sub

freeairs are subs that do not need to placed in an enclosure. They are technically called infinite baffle.

If you want to "Feel tha Bass" Dj magic mike, then you better get some subs. Putting an amp on your set of alpines will improve the sound quality but volume and sound quality are two different things. Louder does not mean better.

Stock setups that have good bass reproduction usually have a sub somewhere.
