Default Anybody done the Big 3 upgrade on our 7th gens?

Title.

Looking to do an audio upgrade and want to beef up the electrical first. I've done this before on my subaru and had no trouble, but with this car I'm having a tough time finding good hidden grounding locations . The stock grounds look weak so I'm sure this will help the electrical system significantly even without a high power audio system. So if you have done this please let me know locations you used for the chassis and engine ground. Pics gets you bonus points.

Also would a 4ga power wire for the alternator added to the existing wire be sufficient? Its tough to get a big 0 ga on there.

engine ground is from the top of the transmission to the frame. removing the battery, battery tray, and intake will help you find it.

there are existing tapped holes on the transmission you can use to add a new ground to the frame. i also upgrade the battery ground to the frame.

4awg is fine. it will be in parallel with the stock wire and thus the two will share current. i fuse the new 4awg at 100A, close to the battery.

Oh okay so same location as on the 6th gen in your write up? Cool. I guess I'll have to remove the battery then.

And is the stock frame ground location a good one? On the fenderwall side behind the headlight close to the battery. I guess I'm confused if thin metal will make a good ground, or if it just needs to be in direct contact to other large area of metal.

Also what is a good spray to coat your grounds?

you should be able to see the stock ground without taking anything apart - so look first as i am working off memory.

the stock frame ground is under the battery tray. the one up top is just the body ground.

i use silicone to protect bare metal. they make battery connector sprays that work well also.
