Default Audio Issue (7th Gen)

So recently my aux decided to malfunction somehow. Sometimes the AUX isn't recognized, but when it is, the quality sound is so bad (but normal when on radio, cd, etc. And sometimes, as I am listening to the CD player, it would randomly switch to aux by itself! I'm planning to fix this on Friday when I have time, but would appreciate any input. Thanks yall!

sounds like a connection issue. bad how? bad like it cuts out or is intermittent?

if it's an internal failure, other than just the AUX jack itself, repair will be a bit trickier.

Bad as in sound quality compared to radio, cd, etc. Going to pull about the system tomorrow night and replace the aux cord first. But i'm skeptic thats going to work because the the system itself would switch into Aux mode by itself when i'm listening to CD's.

Okay. So the quality on the xm/aux is really bad, but when I try to listen to anything such as the radio or CD, it keeps RANDOMLY switching back to the xm/aux. EVEN WHEN I TURN IT OFF. It turns back on by itself into that mode. WTHECK
