Default Aux Input

I just added an auxillary input into my 04 accord (with Navi & xm radio) to allow my ipod to be played. My question is, i have to go to my xm radio option in order for it to play. When I place my radio into the xm setting I can still hear the radio a little bit. is that normal? Or should you not be able to hear the radio at all? Once I play my music it totally drowns out the radio, so you really can't hear it....Please help, wanna make sure I'm getting what I asked for from the audio place.....

Which interface did you use? I don't have a navi, but I am assuming you are using an interface that allows XM and iPod. Sounds like its a problem with the interface, either its bad or just bad quality. You should contact the company you got the interface from.
