Default Boosting Radio Reception?

I have an '05 Honda Civic Coupe and a problem.

I live in an area thats basically NOTHING but canyons, mountains, and ravines. Radio reception is sketchy at best and I would like to know how I could boost that reception so I can actually get radio stations without the station crossing and static.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

If I were you I would probably upgrade to XM radio. I'm sure there are products out there, but I doubt anything is going to work miracles.

The problem is theres a radio station I like but it doesnt play music so its not about hearing the songs I want to hear. They also arent on satalite radio and sat radio doesnt work too well out here anyways

Does your car have an external antenna or one built into the windshield or rear window? If the latter is true perhaps and external antenna would help and shouldn't be expensive.

I am going to assume you are trying to get an AM talkshow? or are we talking FM? In either case an external antenna with a better gain will give you better reception. Also, you can find different antenna's that are the proper length for different stations/frequencies, find something that is tuned or setup to recieve that frequency and you'll be set.
