I am trying to replace the front door speakers. I just can't seem to get the door panels off. Can someone tell me how to get them off? Thanks!

 

on a 4th gen do you have to take the whole pannel off to get to the speaker?

 

Yes! I have to take the whole thing off to get to the speaker.

 

to take the door off first u have to take the door hadnle off its one screw and then u take the handle thing off, then u have to take, the window (if manual) wind thing off and then u just need to go around the outside with a screwdirver and unclip the door becareful not to break any of the clips

 

Some will break because of the old plastic. You can always pick up more at the dealer or some universal ones at an autozone or something like that.

 

how would you get to the speakers if you had power windows and stuff? b/c my brother is trying to switch his speakers but doesnt want to break or mess up anything.

 

Power window swtiches always unplug. Its easy. Most of the time the plugs are size oriented, so you wont have to worry about pluugin in wrong swtiches.

 

if you are afraid of messing something up, why not just take it in to best buy or something like that? it's only 32.99 to be put in at best buy and if you do that it comes with a lifetime guarantee; so if something ever did break, u can always take it back to them to check it out

 

The install is only good for life, if the speaker breaks or something off the door breaks its not Best Buys Problem its your problem nice thing is they take them out for u re-install your old stuff for free...
