Installing front door speakers. Door disassembly?

RE: Installing front door speakers. Door disassembly?
No, it won't .... you have to take the window controls off, a screw in the handle and armrest handle, then pop out all the plastic clips around the sides and bottom, then lift it off the window sill and swivel it to the ground ..... now, take off the light and you're good to go.
It's actually pretty easy. ...... if you want to make it difficult, try squeezing new 16ga wire through the rubber grommet without slicing it and custom mount a set of 6.5" MB Quartz's in there .... then custom mount the tweeters to the back of the stock grilles ..... that's what I did.
IMO, the 5.25" Polk dB's that I put on my ex-gf's 6th gen were a lot easier to install. Also, I had to turn the bass way down to not buzz the plastic liner in the door ...... so you might want to get some dynamat to replace the liner while you're in there.
