hey everyone. well, since my truck was totalled 2 weeks ago ive been thinking about getting a new accord. my fiance has a 94 that shes tricked out and im definitely liking the look and feel of the newer 7th gen models. whats holding me back is (what seems to be) the inability to easily cuztomize the audio/video portions of the newer accords.

what i would want to do is to replace the stock stereo with my Double DIN radio/navigation unit that i pulled out of my old truck. however, i cant seem to find a double din install kit for the upper part of the dash...the place where the radio currently is. all im finding is a Single DIN kit for that area and a Double DIN kit for the lower portion of the dash (which is NOT where i want my Navi, because i dont want my eyes that far off from the windshield).

in the first picture, to me its shows that there is PLENTY of room to make a Double DIN replacement kit instead of the Single DIN thats is being shown in the second picture. also, i find the Single DIN kit rather dull compared to what it could be instead.

any ideas? is there a Double DIN replacement for the upper dash radio portion?

If you dont want that screen I'd like to have it...because i my 04 accord coupe has the 6 disc changerand no navi and I'd really like the stock navi cause it looks cool.

 

sorry, that was a stock photo i was using to explain that there is plenty of room there for a Double DIN radio. i havent even bought a new accord yet because this whole Double DIN thing is holding me back.
