Hm,my friend got his Crunch 800w amp on ebay for 40 shipped,so still want to fix that amp?

yeah well idk the specs of the sub, but if it was using 200 watts fine, then i wouldnt wanna overpower the sub too much.

If you use a bigger fuse than what the manufacture supplies and there is a short, the fuse will still blow but you'll have a nice cloud of smoke accompanying your larger blown fuse...

exactly. if the fuse the manufacturer suggests is blowing, there is obviously something wrong with the amp and therefore useless to get a larger fuse
