Default GPS USB Power

Hey,

Just a simple modification. I have a 2008 accord exl that does not have gps. I can not stand to see the wire running down my dash to the plug. Has anyone ran their own power wire or know of a simple location under the dash that I could tap some 12v usb power so it looks wireless?

Thanks

Chop the plug off, put an inline fuse on the wire and hook it into the fuse panel.

It's standard 12v power, correct? Not USB? That's confusing me...

Is it a standard cigarette lighter plug on one end and a mini-USB plug on the other?

Right, I just dont know where to run the wire as im nervous about taking the dashboard apart since this is the first car I had that doesnt suck. Is there easy access to the fuse panel somewhere.

You should be able to run the wire down either one of the front pillars, through the side of the dash and down to the fuse box.
