I got this device a while back on ebay just bc it looked cool and i wanted to be able to read the car information on my cars computer

im using software to interface with the device its usb and hooks to my laptop i have it to communicate with the card with various softwares the one i think i like the most is scanmaster the only thing is when i go to car information

i dont know if there is a setting that i can do to update this information if anyone has any info on this it be much appreciated...i was hoping to at least get it to display make model and year, lol but just says manufacturer specific

 

I bought one of those because it was so cheap. I blew a lot of time attempting to get it to work before giving up.

If you want a unit that works, check obdscan. It's not cheap at $150. but works well.

A little googling will reveal that you and I are far from alone. Many others also flushed a few bucks down the drain.

yes, it's a cheap code reader interface, esobd2.com only sales 19EURO.
