Default How is the stock system in an 06 Honda Accord? should i upgrade

Hi guys, im new here.

But I have a few questions regarding the stock audio system in the 2006 Honda Accord Ex. I have the most basic of models, so i probably have the most basic stock stereo system possible for this model car. I dont know very much about the car audio so I dont know if my system is actually any good or should I upgrade?

I want to be able to play music through my iphone without using a ****ty fm transmitter, and I also heard that just by upgrading your head unit your speakers will also sound better. I have a Sony Mex bt2900 in mind for the upgrade but I want to know will it be worth it to upgrade? Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Welcome. Yes, a HU upgrade is highly recommended for both iPhone capability and overall improvement in sound quality. I don't recommend Sony products though, they are low quality and perform poorly. Kenwood, Pioneer, or Alpine are good choices,
