First upgrade from stock?
So I have a 2000 Honda accord special edition.
I want to know where a good place to start to upgrade my engine, a friend of mine told me a cold air intake would be the best place to start, but I want to know what you guys think. I have little experience messing with engines but have a few mechanic friends that could help.
Also, what site/store would you recommend do purchase the parts.
Thanks for reading
btw anyone who wants to help me maybe find a part. exact specs are.
2.3 lt, 4cyl, 4dr, auto

If you have large plans for it (and deep pockets) the first place to start is a good plan for where you want to end up. For example if you eventually want turbo, you can skip exhaust header because you'll have to ditch that eventually for the turbo setup.

Like Jim said depends on your power goals and future plans on what you would like to do. If you plan on going turbo don’t even buy any mods just save your money until you have enough for a full turbo kit.
But you want to stay all motor. This is the order you should buy your parts.
1. FULL tune up (change all fluids air filter the works)
2. cam shaft upgrade. (depending on the regrind profile you might have to add #7 after this upgrade) - (also depending on your cam profile regrind you will need a new valve train that can handle the pressure and abuse from the new cam)
3. Intake (CIA or SRI)
4. Ignition upgrade (spark plugs, wires, dizzy, coil ect.)
5. Good name brand header (I recommend Bisimoto)
6. Full exhaust from your header back
7. Chipped and tuned ecu (dyno tune is the best, but can get away with a street tune but won't yield as much power but it's a cheaper tune)
Now the order of my list is if you aren’t not buying all your parts at once and buying as you go. Like say from pay check t pay check or month to month however you want to look at it.
But if you can wait and save your money do it all at once
The list is in order of the best power adders and the better order to buy them in.
