Question replacing just the cd player?

Hi all,
I am a complete NOOB when it comes to Cars. I have a 2000 accord. It has a radio+cassette player and a single CD player. CD player died. I want to replace the CD player alone as i like the convenience of a cassette player.

Is it possible to do that?

It is possible to just replace the single cd player in the 2000 Accord. Refer to Handa Accessories' site for installation instruction and if you want to buy. Salvage yards may also have one.

You have to pop out the old one install the new one with a radio harness like 10 bucks and also you will need a wire harness for your make. Connecting it shouldn't be hard find your power and ground and the rest is basically color coded. Good luck if you don't want to blow fuses because you have no experience take it to a friend that knows if not stereo shop )

The separate stock CD player does not require any aftermarket wire harness or wiring for power. It is also the exact fit for the small opening, I don't believe there is any aftermarket units for that specific opening and to have the ability to keep the rest of the system stock with the current radio-cassette player and faceplate.

Thanks for the response. I am thinking of putting aftermarket cd player. Something like the Pioneer DEH-1300M. Honda cd players can't play mp3 files/usb.So, it looks like i need to get a radio wire harness along with the player.

I wont need the dash kit right? it looks more like the kit is to avoid a gaping hole in the dash. In my case i wont have a hole.

Thanks.

You can use the ISO mounting holes and the factory radio mounting brackets and avoid a mounting kit. Do need the 70-1721 harness.
