installing alarm - horn wire location
Hello,
I am installing an alarm on my 1997 Accord
I cannot find the horn wire under the dash.
It is supposed to be a blue/red or a green/blue in the steering colume harness.
I cannot find it, any tips?

or you could just connect it at the horn itself. if you add a siren you need to route wiring into the engine bay anyway.
and FYI - i think that a good place for a siren is under the battery tray. not accessible so the wire can be easily cut.
in addition, make sure that the brain is not visible under the dash, and that the brain power is hidden, not at the battery. you don't want someone to bypass the alarm by simply popping the hood and pulling the fuse.

I looked for over an hour for that Green/Blue wire, It cannot be found by me anywhere.
Well let me rephrase that, I did find a Green/Blue wire both under the dash and in the harness passing through the firewall on the drivers side.
However that wire, when grounded out, did not make the horn sound.
I ended up giving up and ordering a 20 watt siren from ebay. I wanted to use the factory horn as I think it is loud and very recognizable vs. the standard alarm siren everyone else has.
Has anyone been successful tying into the factory horn for the alarm?
Thank you for the help anyway.
