loud horn when setting alarm
I own a 2008 Accord V6 EX-L w/ Navi, and love the car. The only annoying thing about it is that when I remotely lock the doors and set the alarm, the horn beep that verifies the alarm is set is very loud. Is there a way to either soften or eliminate the horn when pressing the lock button twice?

RE: loud horn when setting alarm
Press the lock button once for silent, twice for chirp/horn.
You only need to press it once to lock all 4 doors. Hitting "unlock" once unlocks the driver door, hitting it again unlocks the other 3.

RE: loud horn when setting alarm
Thank you for your response, but if I only press the lock button once, the remote will lock the doors but not set the alarm. I want to set the alarm without sounding the horn. The dealer tells me they can't do it, but I know that there is a way.

Thats really odd that it wont set the alarm with one press... I know on my aftermarket alarm, if I press the AUX button before I hit lock/unlock it wont chirp. You should have gotten a separate owners manual for the alarm with all sorts of info in it, check to see if you got it. If you didnt, ask the dealer for one.

RE: loud horn when setting alarm
This is a factory alarm. The instructions in the owner's manual say to press the remote lock button once to lock all4 doors, and twice to set the alarm. I am trying to find a way to set the alarm, but bypass the horn sounding, since it is very loud.
