Default Make external relays waterproof

This might be a dumb question. I own a 2005 Accord. For my project I would have to install additional relays next to bulb sockets. Now I live in a place - Oregon - where it rains frequently. Now my question is, how to make it the circuit water proof? Eg: If I get the under hood washed/cleaned, or there is a heavy rain or tire level flood etc, how to protect the circuit from getting short?

Do u think just wrapping the whole circuit with an electrical tape would suffice?

You probably should get solid state relays and pot them in RTV to waterproof. Tape will only serve to hold water in place.

good luck

Another option is purchasing waterproof relays.
