Default Need advice....

Wats up peeps,
Sorry if I sound like a newbie but its cuz i am and I am new to forums as well so plz bare with me here. I recently got an 05 accord lx. The radio it has is the standard no gps with a/c controls on it. The radio is non functional. Sometimes the display turns on and other times it doesnt. When it does manage to stay on, there is no sound at all. My question to anyone that can help or has gone thru the same thing is, is it the wiring or the radio and can it be fixed? And also, if i buy a new accord radio BUT with the gps, would i need to convert anything?

take it to honda, see what they suggest. honda warranty covers some issues with the 7th gen radios. They replaced mine at no charge to me when the display went out. (03 accord)

they shouldnt charge you too much. take it up there. tell them what it is doing and see what they suggest. they shouldnt charge you anything unless they do any work. these units tend to be faulty. and they can probably tell you what will have to be done without even touching the car.
