So this would look like:

- Right channel goes to - on 2nd voice coil
Wire between the - on 1st voice coil and to the + on the 2nd voice coil?

According to the amp specs, it would be getting 800 watts? Which is far to much for either sub. However, I had my Volfenhag wired as I just explained and it too was 500watt RMS and I ran it for a few years like that.

Don't worry, I have a sub grille in my watch list on eBay!

Audiobahn is overrated, so don't worry about 800W. Music is dynamic and you always want more power available then you intend on using.

you have the right idea with the series sub wiring.

So any guess as to what it actually would be putting out?

I can't believe they rate it at 800w. Like I said, I had my Volfenhag hooked up to it for a loooong time which was rated at 500w rms like the MB Quart. I just don't want to ruin an expensive subwoofer.

So if I have the gain (or Level on my amp) turned 1/2 way or less I should be alright? Does that mean I can turn the subwoofer control on my stereo to level 10 of 10? I usually have it on +2 but once every couple months I will really crank it.

This link will explain how to properly set your gain to obtain a desired power output.

Gotcha!

This should be done after the break in period, correct?

no, it should be done before you ever connect a sub/speaker to an amp. for break-in; set the amp output power to about half the sub's rated RMS power. After break-in; feel free to set the amp output to the full RMS power rating of the sub.

Itll be here Friday! Can't wait! I was gonna order it off eBay, then realized the seller was WoofersEtc!

For future reference, it is the same price on their site or on their eBay account, BUT they only offer a 9 month warranty if you buy if through eBay vs a 1 year warranty if you buy it off their site. I got it off their site.
