Hi, I bought a 94 Accord LX last week and now I want to upgrade the sound system. I am completely new to car audio so I don't know much at all about what to buy and I have some questions.
It already has Pioneer TS-A1671R 6.5" speakers in the rear and a Pioneer DEH-1500 head unit. The front speakers are stock and one of them is blown.

Crutchfield says that Alpine SPS-17C2 6.5" speakers wont fit in the front door, but doesn't the front door use 6.5" speakers?

Does anyone have them and what did you have to do to get them to fit?
Should I put my Pioneer speakers in the front and use the Aplines in the back? Should I have the better speakers in the front or the back?
Would it be better to put 6x9s in the back and just move the Pioneers to the front? Is it even possible to put 6x9s in the back if there is 6.5"s in there now?

Also if I want some more bass what should I get for subs and an amp? Whats the best setup I can get for around $350, and is the amp and subs hard to install?

 

all of the install work is going to be fairly easy just time consuming to do it right, as for the door speakers I believe they are just 6", if you want to put in 6.5" you'll have to enlarge the hole slightly by cutting a touch of the metal out or just not set the speaker as far into the door.
