whats up guys. I have a 96 honda accord v6 and i just got an engine swap but the rpm gauge revs up and down. not always but it still does it. the speed doesnt go up or down it stays normal. one mechanic told me to take it back and tell them to change the idle control. what do you guys think it is?

 

Is it just the gauge or is the actual engine rpm doing this?

its just the rpm gauge doing it. it does it randomly or when im on the freeway and then slow down to exit. it's an automatic.

 

The rpm on the V6 is handled by the coil. Make sure that the coil is plugged in securely. You may want to check around to make sure all the grounds are clean and secure.

 

I'll try it...where is the coil located at?
