Default RPM GAUGE

Hey whats up guys,these forums are cool. You guys helped me fix my VSS.Now on to my next issue, my RPM gauge don't work, I hope it was as easy as replaceing my VSS. Any advice on why my Rpm gauge is life less. No movement what so ever.

You should put your year/model in your signature so we know what car you are talking about. I looked at your last post and I am guessing that you are talking about a 90 accord.

The tachometer signal is generated by the ignition control module (ICM). It is inside of the distributor under the distributor cap. Check that the 4 wires going to it are clean and secure,

oh sorry about that. And you are right a 1990 honda accord ex. Thank you for your tip, I will check that out right now. your help is greatly appreciated.

Just to reinforce the year/model/engine thing...

1995-1997 V6 tach signal is generated by the COIL.

1998 & up tach signal is generated by the ECU.

Thats why we need to know what car you have.
