Using the handy search function I have determined the proer size for the speakers on my 1998 Accord. Now it is a matter of what to buy, so here is the question: Should I stay with speakers the same brand as the head unit or can I mix and match?

In home theathre applications, timbre matching is important, so the speakers are all the same brand/series. Does that apply to car speakers too?
