Radio/cassette player problem on 1995 Honda Accord
Hey guys this is my first post so bare with me. I just began driving a good ol' 1995 Honda accord as my first car, but the cassette player does not play the tapes properly. The tapes go in just fine and plays the tape for seconds but then stops, it does a clicking noise and then plays the tape again only to repeat the process again in loop. Also, the display screen does not light up so I don't know if I need to input a code (which also sucks because I cant know which radio station I am on). I would appreciate the help guys, I miss listening to my jams on my way to school/work. BTW by tapes I mean the regular ones and the mp3 adapter which is the one I will be using.

the older cassette players didn't like some of the cassette adapters, and sometimes they just fail. hit up a junk yard and you can get a newer head unit for like $5 or $10 bucks. hopefully something with an aux input. then pick up a 70-1720 wire harness adapter for $5 online.
mow a few lawns to fund it if you need to.

I installed an aux input thru the rear connector on mine (where the connector for a slave cd unit would connect) and it sounds alot better than the RF modulator or cassette adapter. Mine didn't care for the adapter after the first few uses, so in frustration I ordered the aux plug in and am glad I did. Routed the wiring underneath the trim and up thru the arm rest compartment.
