Default Radio Code Not Working on 97 Accord

Hello,

I have entered in the radio code on my 1997 Honda Accord it removes the CODE display and stays blank, nothing happens.
Please any help on this would be appreciated!

Thanks,

FrazierHonda

Kinda of impatient aren't we? It's been less than an hour.

Release negative battery cable for 30 secs and retry. This should bring CODE to display and if you have correct code it should work. It has a limit on number of tries before locking, requiring a reset to try again.

good luck

sorry for the delay, i've had family stuff going on.

if the unit is non-responsive after entering the correct Code, it could be a radio failure. age takes its toll.

a few questions:
is it the original radio and the original Code card that came with the car?
does it beep upon entering the Code?
what happens when you power the unit on using the power button?
can you get any sound out of the unit?
have you verified power on the ignition fuse?
