I have owned since new and now the radio doesn't work and static sound is full-blast loud until the radio **** is turned off. Any ideas of how to fix this?

 

dumb question, is it in the AM mode? also does it still play cds ?

 

It is in the FM mode, on a station displayed and it also does not play CDs. It is totally silent now without the crazy-loud static. The display can still be read too.

 

If you don't mind, I moved this to the audio/visual section for the proper response....KHA or other members might chime in......I read a few of these and think I know the answer but would rather someone that knows chimes in....

 

Failed radio, not fixable but replaceable.

There is a dash kit, but it's expensive since it includes the A/C controls.
