Default Suggestions for amp mounting locations in trunk?

I'm about 80% complete with my system, the final stage will be mounting the amplifiers in the trunk.

Options I see:

1. Removing the spare and building a mounting plate in the tire well out of MDF. There is plenty of room for clearance so I end up with a flat surface which I can cover with plexiglass or just with the carpeted. Only bad thing is I lose my spare.

2. Build a shelf on one of the sides, maybe the passenger rear since that jack and tire iron are not very useful and could be stored somewhere else.

Any ideas of pictures of mounted amps in the trunk are appreciated.

My goal is to minimize trunk space loss.

2 is a good choice

Look up Keep_Hope_Alive's build he did a few good looking amp racks.

I just have mine screwed to the sub box - I am more of a function over form person.

@crispin Thanks!

BTW I have a 99 Accord LX (manual).

I looked at Keep_Hope_Alive's thread but all I saw was something for a Scion. Can someone link the accord install threads?

i like trunk side mounting locations in our cars. i think keeping a functional spare is a good idea. i incorporated a full size spare.

i have built a spare tire mount, i have built a rear seat mount, i have done both rear sides. i prefer sides.

@keep_hope_alive

Where did you purchase the carpet to cover your panels and false floor with? I'd like to use the same color you did also.
