No your still wasting money, a better sub not only is louder but is much cleaner. Those cheap subs are built horribly with horrible quality control. They don't last, look how one coil blew but the other didn't? It probably isn't burnt but broken, these wires are very thin and flex and break over time. If you buy a quality sub it will last you a very long time if you don't abuse it. The big deal here is the price difference is only $50, if that. That $50 will give you better sound, louder sound, and a hell of a lot more room in your trunk. If you still decided to go down the other route be aware your making a mistake, and that is not my opinion.

You get what you pay for and this is nowhere more true than in car audio. You pay a little more for a quality product and it will sound better, play louder and last longer than something cheaper.
