it blew a hole in the glass. I had just heard that the oil in skin was bad for bulbs. so I thought that it was from me touching it it made that spot on the glass heat and break really quickly. Must have just been a really bad bulb.

i found out simply replacing the bulb fixed the problem...

BUT! please dont get ripped off because i almost did!
theres a mechanic (michelin) in front of my house where we get all four of our cars serviced.. i took it to them and they said its an electrical issue so its gonna be 120/hour, and may take up to 4-5 hours.. i didnt have any money on me so i brought it out and took it to korean mechanic. he looked at it for 15 minutes, call me back and just said it was the bulb that went out...

so, please do your research before getting your vehicle serviced!
and thank you for all your help!

i am always weary of shops. Not all are like that but some are. I always try to research online and diagnose the problem myself if I can. If not at that point I will take it to a mechanic. If I am able to diagnose the problem, I will decide at that point if I am willing or able to do it myself and if it worth the effort to save the money to do it myself. Being that I am a broke *** most of the time, I usually do it myself.

A good example of what you are talking about: A certified honda dealer charges between 100 and 200 dollars to change an in cabin air filter. I bought an air filter for 15 dollars and it literally took me less than 5 min to change it and less than 15 min to look up online how to change it.

also my a/c stopped working. the resistor went out. i am sure a mechanic would have killed my wallet for the next three years cause the loan i would have take out to pay him. i got a new/used one from pipes u-pull it (junkyard) for $5. fixed it.

thanks for the heads up spyun and glad you got your problem fixed.
