Default USB Drive for Music

I have a 64g USB 3.1 thumb drive I've been using for music my 2018 Accord. Had no issues for the longest time. I took it out and plugged into my computer to swap out some music and now it won't work. I get the No Device Connected... message. I did not change the formatting or anything. I tried to wipe it and start fresh, nothing. I've tried FAT32, NTFS, exFAT, nothing works. I've tried putting mp3's in loose, putting them in folders and tried copying the albums directly from my iTunes folder on PC. I've run out of ideas. I've tried with two drives now, so I doubt its an issue with the drive. Anyone have any ideas?

You're doing correct problem solving steps. That is an odd problem, i wonder if the computer you're using it messing with the formatting in a way that the car doesn't like. It's possible that loading directly from iTunes could be causing the issue. I assume you've tried directly "dragging and dropping" from windows explorer folders, not using iTunes. Is this a different computer than the initial use? The car is USB 2.0 compatible and i'm unsure if USB 3.0 formatting (if such a thing exists for data formatting) would be an issue.

Have you tried just placing a .jpg on there and loading the screen saver image from it? That would test connectivity. I'm assuming the connection at the back of the USB plug isn't loose if you've never opened that area up before. Worth checking if you have opened it up. It's possible, but not probable, that the USB socked is damaged or has something jammed inside it.
