Question Hubcap Art

Well my car is quite bland; it's a 96 Accord, (Manual FTW) and is wearing the stock beige.
I don't have the $400 to buy a paint job, so I figured I'd go with a different approach and do some hubcap artwork rather than just spray painting all of them one solid color.

For example, a Target on one of them, a Cat's Eye on another, maybe some jagged edges around the highlighted areas; all to mess with people's heads with the swirling effect and then when it's stopped dead it would look cool. Perhaps paint it all white and then add gold streaks to where the highlighted areas are. (Where it sticks out) And gold-line the "Honda" symbol?

However I was wondering, should I do this with spraypaint, if so, which kind, and does sand paper or warm soapy water work better to clean it first? Also, can I use REGULAR paint (like a paintbrush) for finer detailing? If not, how would I get to do details?

I've seen some amazing spraypaint artwork, and believe it or not I've never spraypainted anything before in my life; however I have an artistic side and would do some practice runs.

Advice/suggestions?

I attached a photo of what they currently are. (Oh and can anybody tell me my inch size for hubcaps? I'm not sure what it is or where to find it)

Eventhough I'm not wild about the type of "artwork" your planning you can use any method you suggested or a combo of all. My ony suggestion would be to help the "artwork" hold up better I would suggest shooting some clearcaot over them when done to seal in the paint and help prevent chipping

Look on your tire. It should say something like 185/65/R15. More than likely you have 15 inch wheels (R15) so you need 15 inch hubcaps.
