Everyone that is interested in this stuff.....we will be using this on my brother's car this weekend. I will probably do my wheels too. I plan to do before and after pics on the car and maybe the wheels (no laughing at my missing bumper [:@]).

So, maybe everyone will get a good idea what it can do.

Well, I finally got my wet paint (I kept putting off ordering it....my fault there). I have just used it a little bit as a trial. So far, I LOVE it! I did a few random things, wow!

WIll post pics next week.

Here is a pic of one of my wheels....this was the worst one. I spent very little time on it. I discovered that the Wet Paint is NOT a sunny hot day product, it evaporates way too fast. I will probably pull the wheels off individually next week and work on them inside, as I have too much crap in the garage that I am in process of cleaning out right now---can't fit the car .

Here is the before picture, the wheel doesn't match the center cap well (as the center caps aren't the original ones, it had Acura ones):

Here are the after pictures, I am quite pleased. I think it will do better with multiple coats and a good bit of time spent. I could get it looking well with Mother's aluminum polish before, but it only lasted a few days. I hope this lasts longer.

The paint has a nice reflection and the wheels look good too. Another coat on both will act as a sealant and really work wonders as far as keeping them clean and increasing the shine.
Every car I've done with WP (which are numerous) has been directly in the south TX sun with temps above 95. Here's some tips that will help on applying in full sun:

1. To start, spray the towel you'll be applying it with, then the surface. Once the towel becomes saturated you won't need to do this unless it gets filthy and you get a new towel.
2. Apply WP a little bit heavy on hot horizontal surfaces and work it into the paint immediately.
3. Do SMALL areas....1/2 a Honda trunk, 1/3 a Honda hood for instance. Vertical surfaces like doors can be done in one shot.......if they have been in the direct sun for some time then follow #2.
4. Terrycloth works well to remove the product but an additional wipe down with a good microfiber towel really makes things pop.
5. Apply to entire car, windows included, before starting the wipedown. (No time limit, you can wipe it off the next day or week)

Remember WP is NOT a substitue for polishing a finish that is in poor shape. It will make it look better but it's not a substitute for a machine polishing.

*The above tips are for hand application/removal.

**There is NO substitute for removing the wheels and cleaning them from the inside, called the barrell. I just did this on my two year old Accord and the results were remarkable. The wheels look three feet deep. This was done with Poorboy's wheel cleaner, a scrub brush, lots of water, lots of towels, and Wet Paint as the wheel polish/sealer. I applied the WP THREE times since I'm not nuts about pulling wheels off to clean them real often.

I will probably do the wheels that way next week, I just figured it would be easier to get them nice and clean to actually take them off and go sit in the garage and work on them instead of laying on the ground. I can probably get them done quicker any way. I have had those wheels looking pretty sharp before, if I have to I will do that again, but I want to use the WP as some kind of sealer. Hopefully, they won't start to look bad in a week.

Thanks for the sunny weather tips, I was putting it on the wheels and it was just drying up. It is only in the low 90s today, I figured it would be a nice day. Besides, it is just way too humid for any personal comfort, as it rained a ton yesterday.

By the way, I haven't used the WP on the paint....in fact, I haven't waxed it in a bit either.

OOPS! I assumed you had done the paint too....it really didn't pop like I would have expected which is why I said it looked "nice". Do the paint and post some more pics. Wheelbroker has one that, for some reason, he won't post here. It is absolutely a blow you away pic. Hound him until he shows it here. Do yours and let's see it!

Well, first I am going to do my brother's car. He is off to basic training and air force tech school on Wednesday, we will do his car tomorrow.

My car got hit and run last weekend in Houston and it ripped off the front bumper, I will be taking it to the shop on Wednesday, will probably have it before the weekend (I hope) or sometime next week. So I am waiting until it is all back together before I do any body detailing. I want to get the wheels fixed up before I take it in if I have time.

I just tried the stuff on his car, just a test for now.....did you have any trouble with swirl marks?? Maybe I used too much pressure or something. I gotta wash some towels before we do much to it, I just had a few small ones left. I will take pics before and after tomorrow on his car.
