I recently had my car touched up due to being keyed. I was wondering how long I have to wait before it is safe to clay and wax my vehicle.

 

Frankly I would ask the folks that did the touch up work. My best guess is 60-90 days but that would depend on how large an area was done, type of paint used, and type of clearcoat. Also did it dry naturally or was itbaked?

 

They left it outside to dry. I guess i'll have to call them monday. Man my gf and I washed clayed and waxed her car with that mothers stuff. Now I really want to do it to my car. lol.

 

I just called and they were in. The person said it would be fine. It's been two weeks so far. What ya all think?

 

I would wait 30 days but if they said it was cool then go for it.
