Default How to remove rear seats in 02 Accord

My son lost a lego part through the opening for the seat belts in the bottom part of the back seat of my accord. If I try to pull up the back seat on the lower back of it on the right and left sides, I can tell those portions come up easily. Apparently, there is something in the middle holding the seat down. Would appreciate any advice I can get as to removing the back seat.

Thanks,

JD

The picture is for a 4-door, you didn't say...

Feel in the crack between the seat base & seat back. You're looking for the bolt #30. (probably use a 10mm socket?) It's not dead-center, it's towards the left (drivers) side of the car. See the little tab sticking up from the seat base in the picture.

Remove that one bolt; then the seat base can slide a bit forward & unhook the forward edge.

Default How to remove rear seats in 02 accord?

Jim,

Thanks a lot. Will give it a try. By the way, I grew up in Cleveland, lived in Columbus for a long time, and am currently in Cincinnati.

Best wishes,

JD

I was just down there. My wife ran 10k in the Flying Pig.

I need to remove the seat base of my 2002 Honda Accord. How do I see the picture associated to this message?

That's been so long ago that Majestic Honda probably changed around their site.

Go to www(dot)hondaautomotiveparts(dot)com
Or www(dot)hondapartsnow(dot)com
(Or your favorite on-line parts store probably uses the same pictures from Honda's electronic parts catalog)

Click "parts".
Enter your car's information.
Pick the category that has seats & interior or something like that.

or see this - don't let the title throw you off.

Plus it would help to know if your car is a two or four door.
