Default parassitic draw test

Back in the day you could check draw with a test lite NO MOOR. So I came up with this. First the tools needed a code saver I use one that goes from my battery jump box to the DLC under the dash next a battery disconect switch a big knife switch works and a good DMM. First park the car with drivers window open key out of car hook up the code saver then disconect the battery neg. cable and put the switch in with switch closed then disconect the code saver then hook up the dmm on to the switch now you open the switch and check the draw give it some time for all the ecus to go to sleep. the reason I go to all the trouble is this keeps everthing powered up inc. the anti theft radio. Oh you might start on the 10 amp range first but using the switch you can do that and not loose anything I can close the switch and open the door to check some thing and not overload the dmm. I hope this helps some one
