Default 07 accord v6 slips out of 5th gear on freeway

I have a strange problem with 2007 accord v6 se with about 65k miles, automatic transmission. randomly it slips out of 5th gear on a freeway going around 70 mph. this has happened to me twice and it is making me worry that what is wrong. I hope it is not transmission that is about to go bad but I would like know what your thoughts on this strange problem. Thank you.

It is kinda hard to explain because it happens so quickly but I am going to try. The first when this happened I was going about 70 mph constantly and as soon as I took my foot of the gas pedal it felt like car was going to stop for a second. Now when the second time happened at about the same speed and when I took my foot off from gas pedal to slow down I felt the same like the car was going to stop right then and all kinds of lights came on around the speedometer for a second and then lights went off.

so from my driving experience I know for sure that it wasn't downshifting for 4th gear because I was actually trying to slow down both time but I was still at 70mph so my car wont' go into 4th gear unless I step on gas real hard.

check your kick down cable. Might have too much slack in it. So it really doesn’t slip out of gear?
When you say the car feels like it's gonna stop...does the RPMs drop with it? Or dese it feel like you stepped on the breaks or what? I'm still having a hard time figuring out what your issue is.
Do you have a CEL on or any of the trans lights blinking (D4)??
If so you need to scan your codes and report back.

this is not an "Engine or Internal" topic -- it should be moved to "General Tech"

yup...rpm was dropping along with speedometer. I finally figured out what the problem was. it was just a simple problem, loose battery cable on the positive side. I checked this cable before I posted on this site but I didn't try to pull up the cable. Anyway I think that's what the problem was.
