My Brother has a 1991 Honda Accord, looking for a quick answer...

With the starter currently in (he's at work and doesn't have the time to tear things apart) he can't tell what manufacture the starter is (the Denso or the Mitsuba) and a local yard has a used Denso.

Having pulled and installed this motor (old one had blown rings) I believe the starter was a Denso, but I did this nearly a year ago, and don't remember exactly.

Here's the problem, he doesn't get off of work until after the yard closes, and needs the car running by tomorrow morning for work.

What is the difference between the 2, is there a difference, and are they compatible?

 

You can get any starter from your make/model/engine... Call your local parts house and they can give you part numbers, and you can cross referances..
