Default 1995 Accord V6 C27a4 replacement

Hi folks,

I am planning to pull the dead C27 out of my '95 accord and replace it with a used one. The '94-'97 C27a4 options are a bit limited and don't seem to be readily available from the JDM guys but i notice there are tons of used C27s in the late '80s Acura Legends and even a few from similar years Land Rovers.

My question...are those older C27s the same as the mid-90's Accord engines? Are there any fundamental differences that I'll need to be aware of when buying one of these take out engines?

Thanks!

Has no one ever tried this or seen it done?

Not too many people around that modify the v6 accords of those years. I seem to recall it being done but I can't say for sure.

Thanks....I suspect the major differences are electronics. I'm looking to fix a driver not build a race car but even so it's a bit odd that most of the info I find is how to stuff a c35 in this or that. Maybe I'll just keep looking for a clean low mileage C27a4....there sure are a lot of those old a1s out there....it's still tempting to try.
